Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride
The midnight ride was a really big part of history. Without the midnight ride, we might not have had the revolutionary war. Paul Revere was sent to Lexington, Massachusetts, to warn Samuel Adams and John Hancock, the British troops were coming to attack. On the way he met up with two other buddies that helped him get to where he needed to go. He met with William dawes and Samuel Prescot. When Revere was heading to Lexington, every house he passed, he warned about the troops. When he got to Lexington the time was at about midnight. But he was just too late. He watched the battle end on the Mountains of Lexington.
I was riding my horse, trying to get to Lexington before the british troops. On the way to Lexington I was stopping at all the houses trying to warn them about the British troops. While I was riding I met up with some buddies who might have been able to help me. Their names were Samuel Prescott and William dawes. After Arriving in Lexington at about midnight, he did not know if he was on time. When I got there it was too late and he watched the battle end on a green mountain.
Why the the midnight ride of Paul Revere was important to the revolutionary war is because that he led people colonists away from British soldiers. If it hadn't existed, then the British would have won the war and America wouldn't exist. He didn't forget anyone so that the colonists would have as much soldiers as they needed. Several colonists could have been killed, but Paul Revere came to the rescue. Also, people were helping him. There names were William Dawes, and Samuel Prescot.
